These are the five materials I worked on for Call of Duty: Warzone, Season 3 (following Black Ops Cold War), for the '84 map. Near the end of my time at Vicarious Visions, after we shipped THPS1+2, we shifted over to doing some support work for Raven Software on Warzone. There was also another team helping out on Black Ops Cold War. This was months before Vicarious Visions merged with Blizzard. We had a good month playtesting the game with several Activision studios, before jumping in on any art.

My last 2 weeks there were on these materials. The rest of the artists on the team also worked on materials. This was all done in Substance Designer. We worked off of a base template in Designer that Josh Evans made, and mainly focused on the patterns.

We referenced the patterns from interior designs that were common during the Cold War, in the Ukraine or Russia. Three of them are wallpapers and two are floor tiles that you would see inside of a house or in an apartment complex. I don't think they were added in the latest Verdansk '84 map. From what I saw in the map, it looks like they just used a small handful of tiles and patterns for now, inside any of the apartment buildings or houses, probably for optimization/performance reasons. But these, along with what the team made at VV, are additional materials that Raven Software could easily add in.

Again, this was all done before Vicarious Visions merged with Blizzard in January 2021. I finished these materials in early October 2020, right before my contract ended, and the team continued doing support work for Raven, I'm assuming, until the transition happened.
