This was originally a fan art scene, based on the Columbia map form the Hitman 2 game. Most of the work was a learning process making foliage through SpeedTree. I didn't have to it this way, but wanted to try it out. If I were to do it again, I'd make the plants and trees manually instead of using just SpeedTree, and if I were to strictly keep it realistic using photoscans of the leaves and tree barks, I would just use SpeedTree.
The water shader was originally from a Water Shader pack from the UE4 Marketplace. The moss material on the rocks, and the rope materials are from Substance Source.
Side Story: I was in Bothell, WA, in the summer of 2019 when I was working on this. I wrapped this up quick the moment I got the job offer at Vicarious Visions. I just called this done at one point, packed my bags, and flew from Seattle, WA to Albany, NY over the weekend.
